We’re looking for a VP of Operations to build a fluid, human, and high-performing organization—capable of tripling our revenue while staying true to our culture and client promise.

Job description

At A+, we bring together architecture, engineering, design, and project management within a unified, high-performance ecosystem. Our mission: to maximize trust among stakeholders in order to deliver high-quality real estate projects faster, with less friction and greater value.

ROLE MISSION
Our integrated model is rare, complex, and powerful. It’s reshaping an industry that needs change. To unlock its full potential, we need an operations leader capable of orchestrating it without ever slowing down our agility.

Your mission: to build a fluid, human, and high-performing organization, capable of tripling our revenue while staying true to our culture, our client promise, and our quality standards. Your role will be to align our teams around what matters most: delivering well, collaborating effectively, and always aiming higher. You will be the guardian of execution quality within our integrated vision.

Key Responsibilities

Build a world-class team

  • Support team leaders on their path so they can grow into their strengths and amplify collective intelligence.

  • Foster ownership and initiative by clarifying roles and providing the tools they need.

  • Ensure cohesion and collaboration across all teams (project management, design, construction, logistics).

Maximize the company’s consolidated annual profitability

  • Identify the levers to increase profitability without compromising the quality of our deliverables.

  • Support strategic decision-making based on reliable data and clear indicators.

Reinforce and structure the organization and its processes to support growth

  • Expand our capacity to take on new projects, through both organic growth and acquisitions.

  • Streamline the internal orchestration of our integrated model.

  • Monitor performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve our processes.

  • Support adaptability so teams can deliver effectively even in changing environments.

Develop special digitalization and automation initiatives within teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through digital tools.

  • Encourage adoption and ownership of digital solutions across all teams.

Ensure our sustainability commitments are reflected in day-to-day operations

  • Re-examine our purchasing and design criteria through an ESG lens.

  • Promote a culture of shared responsibility, where environmental performance goes hand in hand with business performance.

What success looks like in this role

After 6 months

  • You understand our operations deeply—our strengths, our blind spots.

  • You’ve built solid trust with the leaders of each team.

  • Operational objectives are clear for all teams.

  • A prioritized process optimization plan is ready.

  • You’ve started simplifying, clarifying, and streamlining collaboration across teams.

After 12 months

  • Our projects are more profitable, better coordinated, and with fewer surprises along the way.

  • You’ve implemented a first cycle of continuous improvement that engages the whole company.

  • One or two acquisition integrations are underway or completed.

  • The organization’s talent is better utilized, and several people have grown into new roles.

  • Our operational methods have been modernized without sacrificing our human touch.

After 36 months

  • You’ve built an organization that breathes fluidity, trust, and performance.

  • We’re capable of handling $150M in sales with the same clarity of execution.

  • A+ is recognized as a firm that delivers fast, well, and with a human approach.

  • Our internal practices are seen as a reference in the industry for their effectiveness and alignment with our client promise.

  • Our partners, employees, and clients see you as a key figure in our transformation.

Job requirements

PROFILE

  • You have solid experience managing operations in construction, design, real estate development—or a mix of the three—ideally in a complex environment.

  • You know how to bring structure without creating bureaucracy.

  • You believe in the power of people when they’re well supported.

  • You hold yourself to high standards, but never let that turn into arrogance.

  • You thrive in action, but you also know when to step back and take perspective.

  • You understand that changing how things are done takes courage, listening, and consistency.

  • And most of all, you want to build something that truly matters.

Why join us

  • Because we’re reshaping the rules of our industry.

  • Because our growth is real, but never at the expense of what matters.

  • Because we take care of our teams, our clients, and the quality of what we deliver.

  • Because we’re already strong, but we want to become exceptional.

  • And because here, you’ll play a central role in a company that’s determined to leave a meaningful mark.

Our perks & benefits

  • Competitive compensation.

  • A minimum of 4 weeks’ vacation, plus personal and sick days.

  • Hybrid work and flexible hours that support your personal life.

  • Group insurance plans, telemedicine, and an employee assistance program (EAP).

  • Annual training budget of $1,000 to support your growth.

  • Annual wellness and home office allowance of $750.

  • Service anniversary and birthday gifts (because yes, that matters too).

  • A referral program that can earn you up to $8,000 if you refer a hired candidate.

  • On-site parking, gym access, yoga classes, and a rooftop terrace.

  • A lively social calendar and a great team vibe.
