Role mission :

As a field manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth execution of our commercial projects. Your goal: to guarantee operations run efficiently, productively, safely, and in alignment with our quality and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan, organize, and supervise construction activities according to the execution plan, schedule, and daily priorities.

  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and internal work teams (carpentry, interior systems, laborers), assign tasks, and support on-site learning.

  • Ensure the receipt and maintenance of material, equipment, and tool inventories, while guaranteeing uninterrupted supply.

  • Maintain a high level of safety by applying and enforcing health and safety regulations across the entire job site.

  • Ensure quality control in execution, in compliance with plans, specifications, and A+ standards.

  • Identify and promptly report technical issues, requests for information (RFIs), and change notices (CNs), in collaboration with the superintendent and professionals.

  • Actively contribute to developing and strengthening a network of reliable subcontracting partners (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) by recommending quality partners, ensuring proper on-site supervision, and fostering long-term, trust-based relationships.

  • Pick up your tool belt for the rest of the time (up to 40% of your working hours).

Job requirements

Profile :

  • Journeyperson competency certificate in carpentry and joinery.

  • Natural leadership, able to motivate teams to continually improve in a positive work environment.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a foreperson on commercial construction sites.

  • Excellent knowledge of best construction practices (demolition, interior systems, drywall, finishing).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • You hold valid CCQ and ASP health and safety cards.

  • You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

  • First aid certification is an asset.
